Welcome to our practice. If you are a returning patient from a previous
practice, you may know how things will run. If you are new to us, let me
explain what our practice philosophy is. I have 17 years of Family Practice
experience. In addition to my clinical work, I have supervised doctors in
training during twelve of these years.
Do to the needs of the bigger networks, I changed to a private practice
this year. The corporation needs were beginning to replace the needs of
the individual patients. Doctors were seen as generic and patients were
seen as portions of the market share. It became clear to me that I
couldn't serve two masters.
At this clinic dear patient, you are the master. In this practice, you will
have the final say. I am sharing week-end and hospital call with three
other physicians. We will take care of you in both the office and hospital.
We will hospitalize exclusively at the Auburn Regional Medical Center.
The economics of the private practice has forced me to make some
changes in order to continue practicing. We will not be able to accept
some insurance companies. Private payments of cash or credit care will be
accepted. Unfortunately, we will not be able to take 3rd party MVA.
Some of the details about this practice:
We have computerized medical records.
We do most of your needed labwork in our office with results ready in
minutes.
We have same day appointments available.
This practice is a pocket of reliability in an otherwise ailing medical system.
At your first visit, you old records would assist our practice. It would be
helpful if you could provide a medication list, problem list, lab work, and
progress notes form last year. Many practices are slow to copy medical
records, but they will fax 7 or 8 pages upon your request.
